Farage rage after minister's Savile slur on net safety

NIGEL Farage branded a Cabinet minister “absolutely disgusting” yesterday as a row about new online protections saw the Reform UK leader being accused of siding with paedophiles.

Responding to Reform’s pledge to repeal the Online Safety Act, Technology Secretary Peter Kyle claimed Mr Farage would have sided with prolific child abuser Jimmy Savile were he still alive.
He said: “If people like Jimmy Savile were alive today, he would be perpetrating his crimes online.
“And Nigel Farage is saying that he’s on their side, not the side of the children.”
Asked to clarify if he truly believed Mr Farage was siding with Savile, he doubled down.
“Nigel Farage is on the side of turning the clock back to the time when strange adults can get in touch via messaging apps with children,” he told Sky News.
