Fake traffic officer fitted car with blue lights to pull over 'speeding drivers'

A BUSYBODY who put flashing lights on his van and stopped "speeding" drivers has been found guilty of impersonating a police officer.

A court heard that Martin Goodall dressed in dark combat trousers, a dark top with badges on and wore a police-themed lanyard.

When he was caught and told to report to a police station he turned up claiming he was an officer and then carried on his antics in Poole, Dorset.

Poole Magistrates' Court was told he fixed a blue strobe light to the dashboard of his Vauxhall and looked for wayward motorists.

Using a flashing light, Goodall was able to pull over drivers he felt were speeding. He also stopped one for running a red light and another for having an obscured number plate.
