WIDELY known for his incredible trick shots, snooker legend John Virgo won four professional titles before going on to have a secondary successful TV career.

He is best known for the hugely popular game show Big Break, which he co-presented alongside Jim Davidson from 1991 until 2002. More than 200 episodes of the game show were broadcast to millions on primetime BBC.
“I always remember, Jim had a bit of a reputation in the business for being hard work. I wasn’t daunted by working with Jim,” Virgo recalled. “Although Jim didn’t know much about snooker, what a funny man and a very generous man to work with. We really got on well,” he told the Express.
Virgo also worked as a snooker commentator for the BBC, with his last commentary just three weeks ago, when Kyren Wilson beat John Higgins in the Masters’ final.
