Eamonn and Ruth split 'very recently'

THE breakdown of the marriage of Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford happened "very recently", friends insisted last night.

Some reports had claimed the TV couple, who have announced they are divorcing, had been living separate lives since 2022.

But friends claim that while both have suffered immense personal challenges in recent years - as they coped with bereavement, work and health issues they have been very much "together" and supporting each other until "the past few months".

Eamonn, who hosts the GB News breakfast show, and Ruth, who presents ITV's Loose Women and on shopping channel QVC, began this year muddling through in their Surrey home.
