Verstappen and Norris gift laughing Russell a rare win
GEORGE RUSSELL just laughed as he watched back the incident that gift-wrapped his second grand prix win.
The Mercedes driver their first triumphed at the Red Bull Ring, giving his team victory since his maiden success in Brazil in 2022.
He could not believe his luck when Lando Norris and Max Verstappen collided while fighting for the lead with seven laps of the Austrian Grand Prix remaining.
After several laps of furious fighting, with Norris's McLaren all over the back of the Red Bull, they touched and both cars picked up up punctures, forcing them into the pit lane.
Russell had been trundling around in third but was suddenly haring towards the chequered flag.
