Ditch the diversity pen-pushers who ruin our public life

THE latest immigration statistics reveal a nation in the grip of relentless demographic upheaval. In the last year, no fewer than 1.3 million new arrivals came to live here, the vast majority from outside Europe.

This unprecedented change is one element of a two-pronged revolution that has been inflicted on Britain by the ruling elite without any democratic mandate. The other is the deepening obsession across our corporate life with the radical progressive creed of social inclusion and equality.

Just as with mass immigration, it is astounding how quickly this ideology has gained a stranglehold on civic Britain.

The unsparing focus on all forms of supposed discrimination, alongside the quest to promote cultural diversity, have become a form of mania.

So, the same public-sector bosses who constantly bleat about "underfunding" seem able to find the money for the creation of a vast new woke industry, complete with tiers of sprawling officialdom, endless data collection and extensive training programmes, backed up by the threats of witch-hunts against any employees who do not comply.
