Cutting out meat will help net zero

CONSUMERS will be encouraged to ditch meat to help hit Labour's net zero by 2050 target.

Energy and Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband has said the Government will do "everything we can" to protect people from the grip of fossil fuel markets.

Advisers said meat will be "mainly replaced" by alternative protein products such as plant-based foods in the coming decades.
