Cruising - a family affair

Sarah Harding recaptured the magic of a childhood family holiday on a trip to the Norwegian Fjords with P&O Cruises
-
My earliest cruise holiday memory is standing on stage, aged three, attempting to sing Oh, I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside for an onboard talent show. I forgot the words halfway through, but the audience including my parents, elder sister and nanna joined in to rescue me. For me, that moment captures what a cruise holiday is really about: bringing people together.
Now a mum myself to four-year-old Jack, and with parents in their seventies, I was keen to see if the magical cross-generation cruise formula still worked. My husband John and I booked us all on to a seven-night trip to the Norwegian Fjords on board Iona with P&O Cruises.
Arriving at Southampton, stress melted away as we enjoyed priority boarding and a glass of fizz in the Pearl restaurant within 45 minutes of parking all thanks to our Conservatory Mini-suite booking.
