'Countries which refuse to take back jailed nationals must face sanctions'

Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick wants every convicted foreign national deported.

He says countries which refuse to take back their jailed nationals must face visa sanctions and the suspension of UK overseas aid.

Mr Jenrick has also drawn into sharp focus the security crisis.

There are strong fears that terrorists will soon succeed in delivering guns or explosives by drones to inmates of British prisons.

He points out that some of the unmanned craft are big enough to help inmates escape.

Mr Jenrick also wants highly-trained teams equipped with tasers, stun grenades and baton rounds to prevent warders from being kidnapped or murdered by terrorists.
