Consultation on BBC's future branded an 'absolute sham'

CAMPAIGNERS have blasted a consultation on the BBC's future after it ruled out the return of free TV licences for all pensioners.

But pensioner groups hit out at the refusal to consider reinstating universal free TV licences for over-75s, after the perk was limited to only those on the pension credit benefit in 2020.
