THE sole survivor of a plane crash that killed the other 241 people on board has said it is a “miracle” he is still alive - but the death of his brother “took all my happiness”.

- By Josh Payne

Briton Vishwash Kumar Ramesh said the tragedy in Ahmedabad, India, has left him with constant flashbacks and sleep problems.

He crawled from the wreckage of the Air India plane but he said the death of sibling Ajay, 35, who was on the flight, meant his family has “lost everything”.

Vishwash, 40, from Leicester, said talking about the June disaster itself is still “very painful”. He still has not spoken about that day with close family after earlier recalling the horror of people dying in front of him.
