Lord Ashcroft fights on for nation's heroes
ARMED forces ally Lord Ashcroft is creating a fascinating archive for the nation to champion courage “rather than diversity and other woke subjects.
The philanthropist's display of 230 Victoria Crosses and a smaller number of George Cross medals were controversially removed by London's Imperial War Museum in September.
ANGER
It closed The Lord Ashcroft Gallery after 15 years, in part because so few people who remember the Second World War are alive.
The decision angered many, including former and serving military personnel, and denied visitors the chance to learn more about British heroism and valour while seeing the gallantry gongs.
