WEST HAM BOSS FEELS THE HEAT AFTER BLUES DAZZLE

- By John Cross

Capital punishment for Potter's sorry Hammers

TWO games into the season and West Ham are already in a full-blown crisis.

The Hammers fans turned on their own team when they booed them off at halftime, and then walked out en masse during the second period as it turned into a complete humiliation.

It all turned toxic at the London Stadium and left head coach Graham Potter fighting to save his job.

Chelsea were rampant as they ripped West Ham to shreds.

Four of their five goals came from inside the six-yard box, which only underlined the shambolic defending of the home team.

West Ham's new £18million keeper Mads Hermansen had another stinker, and the reality was it could have been an even heavier defeat as normal service resumed for both clubs.

Joao Pedro, Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez scored in a one-sided first half before Moises Caicedo and Trevoh Chalobah inflicted more damage after the break.

West Ham look as if they will be facing another turbulent season.

They appear relegation fodder having also lost their season-opener at promoted Sunderland.
