Ground could steer Convergent to Ascot

KARL BURKE admits he is tempted by a Qipco Champion Stakes bid for “fresh horse” Convergent.

The three-year-old went very close to scooping a first Group One title in the German Derby at Hamburg back in July.

After a 69-day break, Convergent, right, had his sights lowered to Leopardstown’s third-tier CMG Group Stakes and rewarded the decision by a length-and-a-half.
