Buoyant results at ABF as Primark earnings improve

PRIMARK'S owner Associated British Foods is set to announce another rise in sales at tomorrow's update to investors.
But disruption from delayed shipments through the Red Sea, weaker high street footfall and wage hikes from April will challenge progress.
Shares in the company, which also owns large grocery and agriculture operations, have lifted by about a quarter over the past 12 months.
This was supported by confident updates in September and November when the consumer giant pointed towards strong profits.
Much of the recent positive sentiment surrounding the firm has been driven by improved earnings at Primark and it is expected to announce another quarter of growth there over the key Christmas period.
