USING a giant golf umbrella as a parasol under a huge fountain is one way of cooling off this week — as temperatures climb to 32C.

Some Britons will wish they were under the Stanway House Fountain in the Cotswolds too, as they bask in their third heatwave of the summer, due to peak at the weekend.

Others will be sweltering for only the first time this season, particularly in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The UK recorded its hottest day of the year on July 1 — a sizzling 35.8C in Faversham, Kent.
