STORM Benjamin wreaked havoc yesterday with fierce winds and heavy rain causing travel misery for commuters.
Strong gusts of 50mph to 70mph pulled down trees on to roads and rail tracks.
National Rail said a tree on the line at Carpenders Park, Hertfordshire, blocked the line for London overground services between Watford Junction and London Euston.
And more than 2,000 homes were left without power in Suffolk, said UK Power Networks.
