Bailey hints at more aggressive interest rate cuts

THE Bank of England could cut interest rates more quickly if price rises remain under control, its Governor has suggested.
Andrew Bailey said that it may be a "bit more aggressive" depending on the rate of inflation, which is close to the Bank's 2% target.
Its economists, he said, were watching Middle East developments "extremely closely", in particular for any movement in oil prices that could stoke inflation.
