Mild Christmas will bring 15C for many
A BALMY Christmas is in the offing after weather forecasters promised unseasonably mild temperatures of up to 15C.
The Met Office also predicted that the elements “should not play a factor” in any disruption, with more than 44 million motorists expected to take to the roads yesterday and today.
But spokesman Oli Claydon said the conditions would not “necessarily bring sunny skies”.
He added: “The key factors of the weather through this week are the mild conditions and higher temperatures.
“The risk of ice and any snow that we had over the weekend has diminished and no notable heavy rain should bring any impacts to the transport network.”
He added that today was expected to be the mildest day at 14C and “potentially even up to 15C in some places”.
