Magical memories for determined teenager gradually losing eyesight

A GIRL with a rare eyesight condition is completing a “visual wish list” before she goes blind.

Audrey Tyrrell, 13, was diagnosed with Usher syndrome, a genetic disease that affects both hearing and vision, two years ago.

The condition causes deafness and an eye disease called retinitis pigmen-tosa, and affects about six in every 100,000 people.

Audrey, from Harwich, Essex, has already ticked off seeing pop acts Taylor Swift and Coldplay, visiting the Eiffel Tower and going to Legoland. Her wish list, which she estimates will take 10 to 20 years to complete, also includes seeing the Statue of Liberty and the Northern Lights.
