TORY MPS have warned Rishi Sunak to avoid giving ground on Brexit following an invitation from Germany's finance minister to improve the UK's trade deal with Brussels.
Christian Lindner told how Britain has a "standing invitation" on any future talks on reducing trade barriers or "obstacles in daily business life".
He added: "If you want to intensify your trade relationship with the EU, call us."
Germany's willingness to forge closer links proved that "Brexit naysayers were completely wrong", Government insiders said.
But Brexiteer Tories claimed the offer would have too many strings attached.
