Anger at £2m spend on race initiative

SADIQ Khan spent more than £2million of taxpayers’ money on a ‘Workforce Integration Network’ promoting race and gender initiatives, while warning City Hall employees redundancies may be needed due to funding constraints.

Documents released to the Daily Express through a Freedom of Information request revealed that City Hall has allocated millions to the network since its launch.

The scheme is understood to be ongoing, despite staff being emailed this week to say that job losses could not be ruled out.

Critics said the revelation shows Sir Sadiq’ “upside down priorities” as Londoners are being hit by record transport costs, soaring council tax and rising violent crime.
