Alex: Agent told me not to do Strictly

ONE of this year’s Strictly celebrities has revealed that her agent told her not to do it in case it ruined her acting career.

Alex Kingston, 62, who has starred in Doctor Who and ER as well as on stage, said her burning desire to learn how to dance outstripped any obligation she felt towards her promoter.

She wasn’t the only one on the show with a revelation as fellow contestant Thomas Skinner admitted having an affair and dancer Dianne Buswell said she is pregnant with Joe Sugg, who she met when they were partnered on the dance show in 2018.

Alex told reporters: “It’s funny because I’ve been asked [to do Strictly] in the past and at that time my agent always sort of said, ‘No, you can’t do it, you can’t do it’.
