Alessia calls for a change following Rubiales scandal

ALESSIA RUSSO hopes the aftermath of the Luis Rubiales trial brings about "change" and says the England women's side stands in solidarity with their Spanish counterparts.
Former Spanish Football Federation president Rubiales was last week handed an 18-month fine of €10,800 (£8,942), equating to €20 a day, after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting Spain player Jenni Hermoso during the medal ceremony after the 2023 World Cup final, when they beat England 1-0.
The sides face each other tonight at Wembley for the first time since that day, with England looking for their maiden win of the new Nations League campaign after drawing 1-1 with Portugal on Friday.
England forward Russo said: “We've stood in solidarity with them since the moment that it began.
