A PEOPLE smuggler who boasted of making £1.6million bringing in illegal immigrants across the Channel was jailed yesterday.
Pistiwan Jameel, 55, who came to the UK from Iraq in 2002, was a "fixer" brokering spaces on boats run by gangs in northern France.
National Crime Agency officers believe he helped mastermind dozens of cross-Channel journeys smuggling hundreds of people.
