£1.1m earnings from TV help Sheridan forget West End flop

SHERIDAN Smith's TV work earned her £1.1million last year - keeping her smiling despite her latest theatre show not going to plan.
The 42-year-old is currently starring in the West End show Opening Night, which is ending two months early on May 18.
The production has been hit by poor reviews and low ticket sales, and even Sheridan's legendary skills have been unable to save it.
The mum of one is widely acknowledged as one of the best actresses of her generation and has starred in dramas such as Cilla, Mrs Biggs and The CWord.
She has also won fans through appearances in sitcoms including Gavin & Stacey and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.
