Peak success for police dog handlers in fundraising challenge

A DETERMINED team of South Wales Police dog handlers took on the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for the National Fund for Retired Service Animals (NFRSA).
-
It involved scaling the three highest mountains in Wales - Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon, 3,559ft), Cadair Idris (2,931ft) and Pen y Fan (2,901 ft) - within a single day.
They completed the gruelling challenge in just 10 hours and 29 minutes, finishing well ahead of their 12-hour target and raised more than £2,500.
