FA Cup: Eagles have decent recent record against Villa

CRYSTAL Palace face Aston Villa in the FA Cup semi-finals tomorrow (Saturday), kick-off 5.15pm. Jack Broome takes a look at the history of the fixture.

The Eagles have had some mixed results this April and will be looking to end the month on a high by making it through to the FA Cup final.
Palace have made five previous semi-finals, in the 1975-76, 1989-90, 1994-95, 2015-16 and 2021-22 seasons, making the final in 1990 and 2016.
Their opponents Aston Villa reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League and are looking to return to the tournament next season.
OVERALL RECORD
The two sides have faced each other 56 times, the Eagles winning 17, losing 23 and drawing 16.
RECENT HISTORY
Palace have played Villa three times already this season - twice in the Premier League and once in the League Cup - winning two and drawing one.
