Big funding boost for culture in community

CROYDON Council has been successful in a bid for funding from Arts Council England as part of its Creative People and Places Programme.

The £750k award will be placed in the hands of local communities, empowering residents to shape, create and take part in artistic and cultural experiences that reflect the borough's rich diversity and creativity.
The funding application was led by a group of local organisations, including Stanley Arts, Reaching Higher, Croydon Council, CRO Make Create, ARCC, Croydon BME Forum and Croydon Neighbourhood Care.
