High school welcomes funding boost

PUPILS at St Thomas More Catholic High School in Crewe are to benefit from a government fund to provide vital repairs to crumbling schools.
-
The Condition Improvement Fund opened for applications in January of last year to support various schools and colleges in carrying out vital building work for the safety of students and teachers.
The government allocated £470m for CIF projects and last week the Department of Education announced that St Thomas More was one of the schools allocated funding in the 2025-26 round.
