ZAVATERI can come out on top in an eagerly-awaited battle with Gstaad and Distant Storm to maintain his perfect juvenile record and claim the Darley Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket today.
Eve Johnson Houghton has already confirmed the Group One contest will be her star colt’s final start of a stunning campaign in which the two-year-old has landed the July Stakes, Vintage Stakes and the Vincent O’Brien National Stakes.
The latter fetured a titanic tussle with Aidan O’Brien’s Gstaad, coming out on top by a head at the Curragh.
