Progress on major city project sees skyline changing
Coventry Telegraph
|November 10, 2025
PROGRESS is underway on a major £450m regeneration project in Coventry.
Around 1,500 new homes will be constructed as part of City Centre South.
Buildings are being demolished for the project, which is being led by Coventry City Council and the Hill Group. Hoarding surrounds Barracks Car Park and City Arcade, which have been bulldozed, while Hertford House is in the process of being flattened.
The Telegraph visited the City Centre South site last week.
Project Director Stuart Bale shared his vision of creating a ‘vibrant’ city designed for people both to live in and to enjoy their surroundings.
