VICKY SHAW looks at the postcodes where the housing market is showing promise
HOUSING markets across Scotland and northern England have the strongest prospects for price growth in 2026, Zoopla predicts.
The property website says areas across southern England, including London, are expected to see weaker growth as they continue to adjust to the impacts of higher mortgage rates and property taxes.
Zoopla assessed several housing market indicators, including affordability, the time taken to sell homes, the number of homes that have been on the market for more than six months and asking price reductions.
It took these factors into account to pinpoint the areas which it expects will have the strongest price rises for 2026.
