City’s home comfort ends Swans bogey

COVENTRY
City stretched their lead at the top of the Championship to eight points as Ephron Mason-Clark’s goal secured victory over Swansea on Boxing Day.The Sky Blues - now 13 points clear of third-placed Ipswich at the halfway stage of the campaign ~ chalked up their eighth successive home win at the CBS Arena.
Frank Lampard’s side secured victory when Mason-Clark swivelled smartly in the box to thump home after Milan van Ewijk had launched one of his trademark long throws into the danger area.
Here are some of the big talking points:
Boxing Day's 1-0 victory over Swansea was the first time in ten games dating back to the early 1980s that Coventry have managed to beat them in the West Midlands.
The tide began to turn last season when Frank Lampard guided the Sky Blues to their first win in 13 attempts in South Wales, a run dating back to January 1950.
And they backed that up by banishing the bogey side vibe in a closely-fought game at the CBS Arena.
