PLANS for a huge mixed-use development on the edge of Bodmin have been submitted to Cornwall Council.
Devonshire Homes, the firm behind the proposal for the Callywith Urban Village on the edge of Bodmin, has put forward a hybrid application seeking full planning consent for 680 homes, associated infrastructure and public open space, and outline permission for mixed commercial space.
The dwellings, with between one and five bedrooms, comprise maisonettes, flats and houses, and the plan also proposes 372sqm of food retail space.
Slightly more than 200 of the homes would be classed as affordable, of which half would be sharedd-ownership and half for social rent, and the development would incorporate at least 50.3sqm of public open space per home.
Devonshire Homes is also seeking permission for an 80-bed care home and commercial units.
