TALKING the other day with local clergyman Rev Evan Lee, he was full of praise for the increase in numbers in his church.

He had already started up a new music group led by well-known local musician Kerry Oki, a discussion group for spiritual enquirers with influencer Noah Dia as well as adding to the church staff a new cemetery assistant, Phil Graves.

Apparently there is an increase in church attendance with signs of renewed spiritual engagement according a recent YouGov reports. Younger people, particularly young men, are leading a growth in church attendance, with Catholicism and Pentecostalism showing the sharpest rises.
