Volunteer's reward for 18 years of help to new mums

A LLANDEILO woman's 18-year voluntary commitment to supporting new mothers in the Llandeilo area has been recognised at an award ceremony.
At an event attended by women and their families who had been part of the Llandeilo Breastfeeding Group over the past two decades, Mayor Charlotte Morgan and her Lady Mayoress Charlotte Walker presented Louise Chodecka with an award from the group for her service.
Louise has now taken a step back from the group, the running of which she took over in 2006 as a young mother, taking inspiration from midwives and the women she met at the group.
