Trader fined Rs 15,519 for misleading advertisement, unfair trade practice

A trader has been fined Rs 15,519 for misleading advertising and engaging in unfair trade practices by offering a 64% discount during the inauguration of a retail store.

The Ernakulam District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has directed the trader to pay compensation after a consumer alleged he was misled by a false advertisement.
