The Government is working strategically to transform Telangana into a global manufacturing hub, said State IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu. On Friday, at the premises of Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems (India) Private Limited in Rudraram, Sangareddy district, the Minister laid the foundation stone for the ₹177 crore expansion of the EHVT power transformer plant and inaugurated the state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities for the CRGO Core Processing Centre (₹65 crore) and Surge Arrester Unit (₹105 crore), all part of a total investment of ₹347 crore.

He stated, "Telangana has rapidly emerged as a guiding light for the country in the manufacturing sector. For 2024-25, the state is expected to register industrial output of 2.77 lakh crore, of which 48% will come from manufacturing. In just 9 months, merchandise exports worth ₹1 lakh crore have been recorded from the state. The GSDP growth rate stands at 8.2%, which is higher than the national average."
