Record Procurement of Paddy in Yasangi 2024-25 Season in the District : Collector

The paddy procurement process for the Yasangi 2024-25 season has reached its final stage, with a record amount of paddy purchased directly from farmers, District Collector Viziendira Boyi announced.

As of May 28, 2025, a total of 1,39,261 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured through 192 procurement centers, compared to 23,926.48 metric tonnes purchased during the same period in the 2023-24 Yasangi season. This marks a significant increase in both volume and farmer participation.
This year, 22,348 farmers have been paid a total of ₹276.32 crore at Minimum Support Price (MSP), directly into their bank accounts. In contrast, last year saw 4,625 farmers receiving ₹52.71 crore.
