State Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Captain N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has made it clear that quality standards should be followed in lift irrigation constructions.

He made it clear that there is no room for compromise on quality standards under any circumstances. He warned that if quality is found to be lacking, the consequences will be severe.

He said that the construction of lift irrigation schemes should be started with great ambition to fill the eyes of farmers and also to make Huzurnagar and Kodad constituencies fertile. He issued an ultimatum to the officials and agencies that if quality is found to be lacking in such construction, it will not be tolerated.

A review meeting was held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat on Tuesday on the lift irrigation schemes being constructed in Huzurnagar and Kodad constituencies.
