Engineering goods exports to US from India rise 17 percent in April

Indian engineering goods exports started the new fiscal 2025-26 on a positive strong note and clocked 11.28 percent year-on-year growth in April with shipments to key markets such as the US, UAE, UK, Singapore, Brazil and Australia witnessing high double-digit growth, according to EEPC India.

Engineering goods exports to the US grew 17 pc year-on-year to US$1.66 billion in April this year compared to US$1.42 billion in the corresponding month last year.
Shipments to the UAE jumped 37.3 pc to US$538.8 million in April 2025 as against US$392.5 million in April 2024.
Engineering exports to some of the major markets, such as China, Turkey, Mexico, and Italy, however, registered negative year-on-year growth in April this year.
The value of engineering goods exports to China stood at US$164.8 million in April 2025, down 21.7 pc as compared to US$210.5 million in the corresponding month last year.
During April 2025, engineering exports from India were recorded at US$9.51 billion as against US$8.55 billion in the same month last fiscal.
