Today (October 26, 2025), the Telangana State Director General of Police, B. Shivadhar Reddy, IPS, and the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, visited S. Chaitanya Kumar, IPS, DCP South East Zone, and his gunman Murthy, who were injured in the incident that occurred yesterday (October 25, 2025) at Victoria Ground, Chaderghat.

They visited the injured officers at Yashoda Hospital, appreciated their courage and bravery, and wished them a speedy recovery.
Speaking to the media, DGP B. Shivadher Reddy, IPS said that a firing incident took place in the Chaderghat area during an operation against mobile snatchers. While attempting to apprehend the accused involved in mobile phone snatching, DCP. Chaitanya Kumar and his gunman Murthy chased the accused for nearly 750 meters. During this chase, the accused attacked them with knives.
