Criminal involved in jeweller's murder killed, brother arrested in police encounter

A criminal involved in armed robbery at a jewellery shop and murder of it's owner in Sikandara area of Agra here in Uttar Pradesh was killed in an encounter with the police, whereas his brother was arrested on Tuesday, police sources said here.

Police sources said that armed robbers looted Balaji Jewelers located at Kargil crossing in Sikandara area four days ago. "When the showroom owner Yogesh Chaudhary resisted he was shot dead by the robbers," they said.
Police sources said that on Tuesday morning the Sikandara police received information that the miscreants were hiding in the flats being built in Ansal API. "When the police cordoned off the flat, one of the miscreants opened fire on the police team," they said.
