Commemoration ceremony of100th pre-flying training course held at Air Force Academy

The Pre-Flying Training Course (PFTC) is a foundational training programme of the Indian Air Force (IAF), conducted at the Air Force Academy (AFA), here.

The 100th PFTC marks a significant milestone, marking 50 Glorious years of shaping IAF's future Aviators since the first batch passed out.
The landmark occasion was commemorated with a ceremony held at AFA here on Thursday.
PFTC is the ab-initio training faculty for graduates intending to join the Flying branch through various induction pathways like CDS, AFCAT, NCC, and Service Entry.
Almost 40 per cent of all the pilots follow this pathway. PFTC has the exclusive privilege of having trained all the women Air Force pilots to date.
