CBI probe against KCR is a disgrace and insult to Telangana People : KTR

September 04, 2025

Strongly condemning the state government's move to conduct a CBI investigation against former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), BRS working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) today said it as an insult to the people of Telangana.

“It is shameful to target the visionary leader KCR who secured drinking water for Hyderabad’s next 50 years through projects like Mallanna Sagar and Kondapochamma Sagar,” KTR said.

He pointed out the hypocrisy of Congress leaders, noting that Rahul Gandhi once dismissed the CBI as “Modi’s pocket organization,” while Revanth Reddy now praises it.

“This double standard reflects the miserable state of the Congress party,” he remarked.

Welcoming senior Congress leader Prabhakar Rao of Manuguru, Pinapaka constituency, along with his followers, into the BRS fold at Erravalli, he said that no leader in Indian politics has delivered as much progress in ten years as KCR, whose irrigation projects have turned Telangana green while opponents have turned red with envy.
