Basavatarakam Indo American cancer hospital kicks off Silver Jubilee celebrations

The Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute (BIACH&RI) formally launched its Silver Jubilee celebrations on Sunday, marking 25 years of dedicated service in cancer care.

The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha, who lauded the hospital's contributions and expressed confidence in its continued success.
The celebrations began with the unveiling of a commemorative pylon by Nandamuri Balakrishna, Chairman of BIACH&RI, who credited the hospital's growth to the support of numerous donors and well-wishers.
He acknowledged the contributions of late Dr Polavarapu Tulasi Devi, late Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, N Chandrababu Naidu, and the Tata Sorabji Trust in shaping the hospital's journey.
Balakrishna emphasised that BIACH&RI, which started in 2000 with 110 beds, now has over 700 beds and is moving towards establishing a 1,000-bed facility in Andhra Pradesh.
