Reconfigured ANC W Cape outlines plans to revive the party

THE newly established ANC Provincial Task Team (PTT), which replaces the disbanded Provincial Executive Committee (PEC), believes that uniting behind Ebrahim Rasool as convener will ensure that the party reestablishes its relationship with the people on the ground.
ANC secretary-general, Fikile Mbalula recently announced the PEC’s disbandment ahead of the National General Council (NGC), which will convene from December 8 to 12 at NASREC, and next year’s local government elections.
Other members of the PTT top seven included Linda Moss as first deputy convener, Vuyiso Tyhalisisu as second deputy convenor, Thandi Manikivana as coordinator, Pholisa Makeleni as first deputy coordinator, Melany Tembo as second deputy coordinator and Richard Dyantyi as fundraise
“The reconfiguration is not a punitive measure against the PEC but a proactive and corrective step to enhance the movement’ effectiveness in one of the most strategically important provinces of the Republic, said Mbalula.
