Pula Group seeks expedited ruling in R3.8bn lawsuit against ARC

Pula Group chairman Charles Sith and Pula President Dr. Mary Sith said in a statement Tuesday that following ARC’s announcement to delist on March 18, they had advised their attorneys for Certificate of Urgency in the High Court for the matter to hear its suit against ARC forwarded into April; it was originally scheduled for May.

Sith said of the plan to delist: “This move clearly changes the status quo relative to our suit against ARC. I find it a profoundly interesting coincidence that this announcement was made within days of the announcement of the calendar for proceeding with our suit against ARC.”

“The timing is interesting because the delisting would happen on or around June 2, which would be during the Court-required mediation period that would include sometime in mid or late June, if we stick to the original timeline announced by the Court in March,” he said.

Transforming Trump's G20 snub into a strategic advantage for South Africa

THE announcement by US President Donald Trump that South Africa will be “uninvited” from the 2026 G20 Summit is, at face value, a diplomatic provocation. But beneath the headlines lies a far more consequential opportunity: the chance for South Africa - with its business leadership at the forefront - to redefine its global narrative, champion multilateralism and strengthen its position as a bridge between the West and the Global South.
