Mashimbyi: Capitals lessons in SA20 final run to fuel Proteas Women

HEAD coach Mandla Mashimbyi aims to bring the learnings from his time with the Pretoria Capitals in the Betway SA20 into the Proteas Women's environment ahead of next month's series against Pakistan, and the 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup.
SPINNER Keshav Maharaj was the pick of the Proteas' bowlers in the second T20 International against the West Indies in Centurion yesterday. Mashimbyi played a critical role in helping the Pretoria Capitals reach their second SA20 final. Despite losing that match, the Capitals had an incredible campaign, recovering from winning just one match in their opening five fixtures to reach the final.
